Sam Ramasamy
President and Chief Executive Officer

The founder of both and ProPhoenix Corporation, Sam brings a twenty year record of success in the Public Safety software industry. That success is a direct result of his commitment to quality and exceeding client expectations. In addition to managing the two companies, Sam directly oversees all solution design and development. His hands-on leadership style is also reflected in the personal attention he shows each client - from the smallest to the largest. These strong client relationships are both the inspiration and the validation of EZFireRecords and the other successful Public Safety solutions Sam and his team have developed.

Prior to founding ProPhoenix in 2004, Sam served as Vice President for Engineering at D.M. Data, a leading public safety software solutions provider. In that role and in previous positions, Sam built and managed high performance software engineering teams. He began his career as a Scientist for Satellite Research Organization. Sam holds an Electronics & Communications Engineering degree from MIT (Madras Institute of Technology) and a BS in Physics from Madras University.

Jeffrey Reit
Vice President, Business Development

Jeff has served the needs of Public Safety for more than thirty years, both in his current position and in his previous public sector career. As Vice President of Business Development, he is responsible for managing solution sales and business opportunities across the U.S.. This role gives Jeff a unique understanding of client expectations - in terms of both solution functionality and the performance of the company that delivers those solutions. As a member of the senior management team, Jeff helps to make sure that EZFire Records delivers on those expectations.

Previously, as part of his successful 30-year career with a Wisconsin public safety agency, Jeff served in a variety of management positions. In his four year assignment as an administrative Captain, Jeff was responsible for all aspects of public safety software/hardware, budgeting, training, and records, as well as management of the 911 Centre.

Naren Asokaraju
Vice President, Engineering

Naren has more than thirteen years of experience in developing Fire RMS and other public safety systems and has successfully led the EZFire Records development team from initial design. He brings broad knowledge and experience in the Microsoft .NET technology stack, Web design, UML and CMM processes, as well as mobile/tablet technologies and cloud application development. Naren has been recognized, within the company and by our clients, for his technology innovations, project management skills and commitment to quality and timely product delivery.

Naren has served in a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the company, including Chief Architect. Previously he was a software engineer for Megasoft Ltd., also developing public safety software. Naren holds an Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, India.

Joseph Lehmann, Jr.
Director of Professional Services

Joe is ProPhoenix’s Director of Professional Services and a retired State of New Jersey certified law enforcement officer with over 26 years’ experience as a law enforcement officer.

Joe supervised and commanded the Services Division for a combined 14 years responsible for the operation of the Communications Bureau and Records Bureau. He also handled administrative functions, budget, fleet management, emergency management and information technology. His department was the first in their county to utilize mobile field reporting in the cars. He retired as Police Chief after leading a department of 65 sworn officers and additional 15 civilian employees.

Joe has been involved with Public Safety for over 35 years. At the age of 16 he joined the local volunteer fire department and emergency squad. He continues to be a life member of the Fire Department after serving two separate terms as Chief of the Department. He also served as the Chief Fire Coordinator for the County and the Deputy Regional State Fire Coordinator for a 5 county region.

Currently he is responsible for overseeing the delivery of products and services to our customers.

James Madisen
Product Manager, Fire & EMS Solutions

Jim's thirty-four years of professional, in the trenches experience in virtually every aspect of local fire and EMS operations makes him the ideal choice for his current role of defining the business and user requirements for EZFire Records and communicating them clearly to the design team. His passion is making the system easy to use from Day One, including creating help videos and other tools.

Jim retired in 2012 as Battalion Chief of a 140-person, six station fire department in Wisconsin. Over his successful career he supervised departmental Units responsible for Administration, Fire Prevention, Personnel and Policy, Investigations, EMS, Inspections, Training and Fire Suppression.

Ira Schonfeld
Industry Fire Consultant

Ira's thirty-seven years of fire service experience, together with his success in designing Fire & EMS records management software, make him an invaluable consulting member of the EZFire Records management team. He understands how and where a well-designed records management system can streamline operations and save dollars.

Ira currently serves as Deputy Chief of Operations for a combination career/volunteer fire department in New Jersey. He previously held ranks from Lieutenant up to and including Chief in the fire service. Until 2005, Ira was also the successful CEO and chief architect of a provider of fire RMS software. Ira holds a BS and MS in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
